In our Western WI community, we share more than just the town, city, or county we live in. We have shared values that we believe deeply, defend passionately, and act upon regularly. As a values-driven organization, GROWW is taking the first step towards understanding the core values Western Wisconsin holds in order to shape the work that is to come.

Driven By Values, But What Are Ours?

In all of our work, we strive to follow our mission: To build power together to create the change we need for everyone in our communities to make ends meet, live with dignity, and have a voice in shaping the decisions that impact us. Part of that is making sure that we are tackling issues that people know are impacting their community, and identifying the values that connect us all. Until the end of April, we are asking for insight into what values you hold dear and act upon regularly. Together, these values can build our platform and work towards becoming real in our communities. No matter where you live in Western Wisconsin, we want to hear from you! The Plan

In the next 6 months, a team of grassroots members and GROWW organizers will spearhead the task of reviewing this survey, holding one-to-one meetings throughout the summer, and facilitating an organization-wide listening session in July. The product of all this work will be a proposed Statement of our 2023-2024 Values and Platform that GROWW community members like you will have the opportunity to vote on in September.

Our platform will be a wishlist of the policy reforms that will shift local power and improve peopleā€™s lives. Our platform is not a strategic plan; it is a north star that guides us across the uncertain terrain. Our values and platform statement will not be a final product. It will be a living document reviewed and amended once a year by the people of GROWW. This way, the statement will reflect changes in the world and within our organization.
