Fighting for Our Water, Air, and Family Farms – Our Future.

People in western Wisconsin take care of what we have and what we pass on to our children – our land, our water, and our communities. But for decades, corporate consolidation in the agricultural industry has reshaped our landscape and way of life for the benefit of a few large companies — hollowing out local economies and undermining the small family farms that once sustained our towns. These corporations profit by externalizing their costs: they contaminate our water, damage our roads, and leave local taxpayers to clean up the mess.

By Spring 2023, people had had enough. When word broke that the parent company of Ridge Breeze Dairy in the Town of Salem planned to expand the operation from 1,500 to 6,000 cows, it became the catalyst for a larger movement and our member’s People Protecting Pierce campaign.
