We are interested in hearing directly from local residents about the issues impacting us and our neighbors. In three counties, we are holding listening sessions that are open to community residents interested in sharing their thoughts, stories, and ideas about how we can work together to make our communities the best places to live. 

Polk County Listening Session

Barron County Listening Session

When: Thursday, November 16th from 5:00-6:30

We stick together, even when things get tough.”  says Bill Hogseth, organizing director of GROWW. “We envision communities where all of us can lead a great life. Where everyone has a roof over their head, a meal on the table, and a job that can support a family. We’re facing challenges before we get there, but we believe that things get better when people from different walks of life get together and find out what we have in common. So often, those of us closest to the problems are also closest to the solutions, yet we don’t have a seat at the table. We’re changing that.”

Next year, we will be expanding the community-led projects focused on addressing issues that are widely and deeply felt by people in our region such as housing, food insecurity, mental health, local agriculture, or other issues that arise. Conversations that begin at doors, over the phone, and at listening sessions will guide that work.
